• Johns Hopkins APL-Led Team Releases Predictive Space Weather Model to Public (jhuapl.edu) — Laurel residents can take pride that Johns Hopkins APL here is leading a major new open-source model to better predict disruptive solar storms and protect vital technology. The MAGE system, developed at APL’s Center for Geospace Storms, is now freely available worldwide and is already being used to study recent geomagnetic events and support NASA missions to the Moon and beyond.
