Thief Took Taxi to Rob Bank in Prince George's County

The suspect took a cab before and after demanding money from the bank.

A suspect took a taxi to a bank, robbed it, then got back in the same cab to leave.

Around 11:30 a.m. Nov. 7 police received the call for an armed robbery at a Fort Washington bank on the 10000 block of Indian Head Highway.

William McKinley Thomas, 43, of Temple Hills allegedly took a cab to the bank and demanded cash from the bank teller. After they complied, he returned to the cab.

Authorities tracked down the taxi which led to Thomas’ arrest Nov. 12.

Police report that the cab driver was not involved in the robbery, but the driver received ‘a generous tip’ from Thomas.
