Thursday: Laurel Hosts 'Fun Day' at Emancipation Community Park

Looking to enjoy a bit of spring weather with the family? The City of Laurel is hosting a Community Fun Day this Thursday, April 18 at Emancipation Community Park.

Drop by from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for field games, arts, crafts, costumed characters, and free refreshments. City officials will also be on hand to greet residents.

Thursday's event was rescheduled from late March after weather forced organizers to postpone it.

Emancipation Community Park, located at 8th Street & West Street, was the scene of a major playground blaze on March 11. Investigators are continuing their search for the person(s) responsible for this and six other suspicious fires this year.
