A tractor trailer crash has temporarily shut down Route 1 in North Laurel, between Whiskey Bottom Road and Maier Road. According to Howard County Police spokeperson Elizabeth Schroen, police were called to a single vehicle accident at 11:03 a.m. Schroen said there were no injuries in the accident, but there was a live electrical wire being attended to by BGE. As of 2:30 p.m, police officers were still redirecting traffic away from the scene.
