1. D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton is denying any responsibility for setting a group of zebras loose in Prince George’s County. She claims her "alibi is solid." It is not clear who accused Norton of the act. (WTOP)

2. A Prince George’s County man who shot two victims to death during a marijuana deal in White Oak was convicted Thursday. He was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of 23-year-old Jordan Radway of Laurel and 24-year-old Christian Roberts of Silver Spring. (Fox 5 DC)

3. The Maryland Department of Health has launched a new initiative called the Community COVID-19 Vaccination Project, the program will bring vaccine education to your door. Workers will go on door-to-door visits in areas identified through ZIP code analysis as having low vaccination rates and spread information about testing and vaccine sites. (WDVM)

4. Bowie is hosting 7 community service events this weekend to mark the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The city will also lower its flags to half staff and take a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., which is the time when the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center. (Bowie Patch)

5. Maryland Restaurant Week is returning for 10 days of special menus as well as deals across the state, the Restaurant Association of Maryland announced on Tuesday. It kicks off September 17th and runs through September 26th. About 14% of all restaurants in Maryland or about 1,650 businesses have permanently closed since the start of the pandemic.
