1. About 92,000 water customers in Maryland are behind on their bill, but WSSC Water says they will soon have to shut off their service due to $66 million in past due accounts. Turnoffs will begin on Monday, September 13th after being suspended in March 2020 following the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. (WUSA 9)

2. A Prince George’s County police officer shot and killed a man who was armed with what turned out to be replica guns on Friday, according to the chief of police. An altercation between an off-duty officer and the man led up to the incident. The identity of the man has not yet been released. (Fox 5 DC)

3. The University of Maryland Medical System announced Friday that it is increasing its minimum wage to $15 an hour, an increase of about 5% for its employees. The system employs 29,500 employees and 4,000 affiliated doctors throughout the state. (The Baltimore Sun)

4. Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) is still looking to hire 190 school bus drivers as of Wednesday. Prince George’s County is accepting applications for drivers on its website. (NBC Washington)

5. Baltimore City will wait until the FDA approves COVID-19 booster vaccines for the general population before opening booster appointments to those who are not immunocompromised, officials said Friday. The city's plan differs from the state plan with Governor Larry Hogan saying Wednesday that the state will begin administering booster shots to older adults in congregate setting. (WYPR)
