• Lexington Park Woman Charged Again After Violent Encounter with Deputies, Weeks After Prior Assault Allegations (smnewsnet.com) — A 19-year-old Lexington Park resident faces new misdemeanor assault and resisting-arrest charges after deputies responded to a reported domestic incident on Chapman Drive earlier this month. Court records describe an alleged altercation with a sibling and deputies, along with a prior assault case at the same address in April. The defendant is currently free on bond and due back in court in February. 
• Leonardtown Man Arrested on Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop (smnewsnet.com) — A traffic stop near Point Lookout Road and Flat Iron Road in Lexington Park led deputies to arrest a Leonardtown man on misdemeanor drug and paraphernalia charges after spotting suspected drug items in his vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled for a St. Mary’s County District Court appearance in late January.
