2-Year-Old Shot Inside Montgomery Village Home: Police

A toddler was shot and wounded Saturday night inside a Montgomery Village home, according to police.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — Authorities say a 2-year-old boy was shot and injured Saturday night inside a Montgomery Village home.

Shortly before 5:20 p.m., a family member called 911 to report the shooting at a home in the 19400 block of Brassie Place. The caller, who was driving the injured boy to a hospital, said he was "shot in one of his lower extremities," according to Montgomery County police.

Authorities said the boy, who did not live in the home on Brassie Place, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

They also said detectives interviewed multiple witnesses, including the victim's family members, and notified officials from Child Protective Services.
