Baltimore Orioles in the Postseason 2016: Schedule, Tickets, Predictions

The Orioles have made it to the postseason and are headed to Toronto for the wild card matchup Tuesday against the Blue Jays. The game is at 8:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

The wild card meeting is a single-elimination game to see who will proceed in the American League playoffs. The winner will take on the Texas Rangers on Thursday, Oct. 6.

It's the third time in five years that Baltimore has made it into the postseason, after qualifying in 2012 and 2014. Before that, the O's hadn't made it to the postseason since 1997. Baltimore made the cut for the wild card spot after beating out the New York Yankees, 5-2, Sunday night at Yankee Stadium.

This year the Orioles have many, even those outside Birdland, rooting for them.

For Tuesday's wild card game, Fox Sports is predicting a win for the O's, who have the most home runs (253) of any team in Major League Baseball this season and powerhouses like Manny Machado, Chris Tillman and Zach Britton on their side.

First pitch in the Orioles-Blue Jays matchup will be at 8:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Rogers Centre in Toronto. The game will be broadcast on TBS television and ESPN radio. Subscribers to MLB.TV can watch a live stream online. Check for tickets to the Toronto game on Ticketmaster.
