Baltimore's Classic Five Golf Announces 2016 Tournament Series
Classic Five's Tournament Series begins with Mount Pleasant Stroke Play Championship on May 7.

BALTIMORE, Md. – Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC), also known as Baltimore’s Classic Five, today announced the 2016 Classic Five Golf Tournament Series will begin May 7 with the 2016 Mount Pleasant Stroke Play Championship at Mount Pleasant Golf Course.
The Classic Five Tournament Series features seven events from May through October, including five individual events and two team events.

Mount Pleasant Stroke Play Championship – May 7 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course
Baltimore Match Play Championship - June 11-19

- Qualifying Round at Clifton Park Golf Course on June 11
- Rounds 1 & 2 at Forest Park Golf Course on June 12
- Rounds 3 & 4 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course on June 18
- Finals at Pine Ridge Golf Course on June 19
Baltimore Stableford Championship - July 16 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course
Forest Park Stroke Play Championship – July 30 at Forest Park Golf Course
Baltimore Amateur Championship
- Round 1 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course on August 13
- Round 2 at Pine Ridge Golf Course on August 14

Baltimore Two-Man Team Championship - May 14-15 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course
Baltimore Two-Man Fall Championship - October 8-9
- Round 1 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course on October 8
- Round 2 at Pine Ridge Golf Course on October 9
At the five Tournament Series individual events, golfers will be eligible to earn points that count toward determining the 2016 Classic Five Tournament Series Player of the Year. The golfer who earns the most points will be named the 2016 Classic Five Tournament Series Player of the Year. This year a Tournament Series Player of the Year will also be awarded in a Senior Division. Golfers must be 55 years of age or older to participate in the Senior Division.
“The Tournament Series allows golfers to participate in a variety of competitions that enable them to demonstrate their skills in a competitive environment,” said Jon Ladd, BMGC’s Executive Director. “This year we are very excited to add a second Player of the Year honors in a Senior Division.”
