The Ravens' website says Walker is in critical condition.
"Oh my God, this is devastating news," coach John Harbaugh said on the team website. "Our prayers and hopes are with Tray and his family tonight."
Walker was riding a Honda dirt bike that collided with a Ford Escape at a four-way stop intersection, the team says. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Miami Police told reporters that Walker’s bike did not have headlights and he was wearing dark clothes at the time of the accident. Walker was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the SUV stayed on the scene and was cooperative with the police investigation. However, investigators are looking for a member of the New England Patriots who may have witnessed the crash, according to WPLG Local 10 in Miami.
Walker, who grew up in Miami, was drafted in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft.
Walker attended Miami Northwestern High School and played his college football at small-school Texas Southern.
The 6-foot-2, 199-pounder was a developmental player for the Ravens last season. Walker played in eight games and recorded one solo tackle from scrimmage. He mostly competed on special teams.
