Update: Child Struck By Golf Cart Released With No Injuries
A child was taken to a local trauma center via medevac after being struck by a golf cart on March 29.

Update, April 3 at 3 p.m.: The 2-year-old boy who was run over by a golf cart at Callithea Farms Park last week was not injured and spent the night at Children's Hospital for observation before being released on Friday, March 30, farm owner and manager George Sengstack told Patch.
"The golf cart was parked and the mother was right there with the two children, a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old, and the 4-year-old was playing on the golf cart and hit the gas pedal and knocked the 2-year-old down," Sengstack said. "It looked like the front tire ran him over but we couldn’t find any scratches or anything on him."
Because of the boy's age, Sengstack said it was standard procedure for him to be taken to Children's Hospital. The boy was flown by medevac from the farm on River Road.

"I guess they did x-rays and everything at the hospital and they couldn’t find anything wrong with him, thank god," Sengstack said.
