Save the date | Public hearing set for Ten Mile Creek proposals
The Montgomery County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to Clarksburg’s master plan for the Ten Mile Creek Watershed. The hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring. The draft is available online.
Back to school| Get ready for fall sports
Most high school athletic programs in Montgomery County start on Wednesday. The first day of school is Aug. 26, for public school students.

As part of the restaurant’s grand opening, Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar will host a fundraiser for Manna Food on Thursday, donating a proceeds from dinner sales to the Gaithersburg-based nonprofit. Call 301-816-1100 to make a reservation. The restaurant’s official ribbon cutting is Friday.
