Quarter Auction

The Ladies of the Living Rosary, Auxiliary to the Knights of Columbus, Keough Council #5263 is hosting a quarter auction on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1381 Becknel Avenue, Odenton, MD, 21113. This adult-only fundraiser is to benefit the charities of the Auxiliary, including the Christmas Family Adoption Program.           

Previewing of merchandise, beverage and food sales begin at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for 2 paddles. Additional paddles and rolls of quarters willl be available to purchase. The auction begins at 7p.m. There will be door prizes along with auction items from various vendors.            

What is a Quarter Auction?  It’s a fun evening of entertainment and bargains, best described as auction meets raffle!  When you arrive you choose 2 paddles.   Balls with your paddle numbers will be added to the draw bin.  As the auctioneer describes an item, you bid the number of quarters needed per paddle and raise your paddle(s).  The auctioneer draws a number; if it matches your paddle, you win the item!   If you choose not to bid on the item and your number is drawn, another number will be drawn until a bidding number is drawn.  For more information, please call Jo-Ann, 410-900-5576.
