Annapolis Crash Kills 47-Year-Old Driver, Hospitalizes 2: Police

An Annapolis crash killed a 47-year-old driver and hospitalized two passengers from another car, police said.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A recent Annapolis car crash killed a driver and hospitalized two passengers from another car, police said.

Officers identified the deceased as 47-year-old Jonathan David Rober of Crownsville.

Authorities said the crash happened last Thursday around 11:58 p.m. on Generals Highway near Knollwood Drive.

Police said Rober was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata northwest on Generals Highway when the sedan crossed the center line and hit a 1997 Toyota 4Runner SUV head-on.

Medics took Rober to Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, where officers said he died soon after.

Two adult Toyota passengers were hospitalized, authorities said, noting that one went to Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center and the other went to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center in Largo.

Both Toyota passengers are expected to survive.

The Toyota driver wasn't hurt.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
