Arts Group to Speak With Town Center Committee
West Arundel Creative Arts will discuss its goals of working with the development community to find theater and classroom space.

The new West Arundel Creative Arts group is looking to partner with the development community to build theater and classroom space in Odenton.
Members of the group next week will speak before the Odenton Town Center Plan Oversight Committee and will be asking for help in securing space. The committee could advise the group on possible theater locations, offer ideas on how to work with other new developments in town.
In Odenton, many new development projects are required to be mixed-use, with a certain portion set aside for retail. WACA officials said they are researching whether a theater space could be used to satisfy a retail requirement.
WACA was founded earlier this year and operates as a non-profit. The group will begin offering theater and arts classes early in 2014.
Also on Tuesday, the committee will review modifications to plans from the Redeemed Christian Church of God Victory Temple on Annapolis Road in Odenton.
The town center committee will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Western District Police Station, 8273 Telegraph Rd., Odenton.
