Arundel Mills Releases Black Friday Times and Events

Locals will be able to shop for nearly 24 hours, photograph Hunky Santa, hear live music and see snow in the food court.

For those willing to of mass hysteria this Friday, Arundel Mills is offering almost a full 24-hour experience for shoppers looking to snag the ultimate deal.

Starting Friday at midnight, residents can access the mega-mall for 22 hours straight, if they so please, while using up-to-the-minute social media updates to track sales and special holiday offers.

A release from Arundel Mills said they plan to post deals on Twitter and Facebook throughout the popular shopping weekend in an effort to give shoppers “unmatched savings.”

Patrons willing to arrive at midnight, or earlier, may also benefit from the mall’s Black Friday T-shirt giveaway. The first 500 shoppers age 13 or older at each entrance of Arundel Mills will receive a free 2011 Black Friday T-shirt.

Here are some other special events taking place this Friday in honor of Black Friday at the mall:

Hunky Santa: Starting at midnight Friday, Arundel Mills will have a “hunk” version of Santa Claus posing with his elves. He’ll be available for photos until 4 a.m. Friday.

Live Music: Shoppers will not only be flooded by shopping for Christmas, they’ll see and hear live performances of their favorite holiday hits all weekend.

Snow in the Food Court: It will literally snow every hour starting at 11 a.m. Friday in the food court and will continue all the way to Dec. 24.

Gift Wrapping Service: Local charities will be present to offer holiday gift wrapping in exchange for a small donation. It will be an easy way to get your gifts wrapped while helping a good cause, all at the same time.
