Arundel, Old Mill Grads Collect $20 Million in Scholarships
The schools were among six county high schools to collect more than $10 million each. Meade High School also had its highest scholarship total ever.

Graduates from Arundel and Old Mill high schools together collected more than $20 million in scholarships in 2013, helping the Anne Arundel County Public Schools set a record for most collected in a single year.Â
Arundel and Old Mill were among the six schools that reported at least $10 million in scholarships, as the county schools totaled a record $127 million.
Arundel students pulled in $10.5 million in scholarships, up from $8.5 million a year ago.Â
Old Mill students reported $10.1 million, up from $8.2 million last year. It is also the highest total at Old Mill since scholarship figures were tracked beginning in 2007.
South River ($21.6 million) Broadneck ($14.9 million) Severna Park ($13.5 millon) and North County ($11.1 million) high schools also pulled in more than $10 million.
Meade High School reported $6.8 million in scholarships, its highest total ever.
In addition to setting an all-time record total, the county schools said it saw $17.7 million in scholarship offers to African-American students, a 61 percent rise over two years ago.Â
