Dangerous Utility Line on Severn Road?
At first glance, it appears this major utility line on Severn Road is being held up by nothing more than a strategically cut tree. Anyone else find this concerning?
UPDATE (5:15 p.m.)—As I was headed to Panera near Arundel Mills, I drove down Severn Road and made a U-turn after seeing a dangling utility line being held up by a finely-placed tree.
A BGE spokeswoman said in an email that "using a tree to 'hold up lines' is not something BGE would do." She added that a BGE crew would investigate the wire on the tree, which could also be from a cable company.
With Thursday's forecast calling for rain and wind gusts up to 25 mph, does anyone else think this is a potentially dangerous situation?
