Fatal Shooting In Crofton Claims Capitol Heights Man: Police

A fatal shooting victim was found in a parked car in Crofton, police said. He was from Capitol Heights.

CROFTON, MD — A man was found fatally shot Thursday in a car parked in Crofton, police said.

Officers identified the victim as 43-year-old Tommy Lee Williams Jr. of Capitol Heights.

Authorities said they were called to the 2100 block of Baldwin Avenue in Crofton around 6:40 p.m. for a reported unresponsive man.

Police said they found the victim in a gray Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with at least one gunshot wound to his torso.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced him dead on the scene, a press release said.

Detectives said they are investigating the case as a homicide.
