Police: Sibling Rivarly Leads to Stabbing

Police say Veronica Christina Victoriano of Hanover stabbed her sister in the leg after they fought over the use of a car.

A family fight over the use of a car has left one sister in the hospital with stab wounds and another charged with assault, Anne Arundel County police said. 

Police said they responded at about 11:15 p.m. Monday to the 7100 block of Somerton Court in Hanover for a reported stabbing. Officers learned that two sisters had been quarreling, and that the fight escalated to the point where one of the women armed herself with a knife. 

Police said Veronica Christina Victoriano, 22, then stabbed her sister in the leg. The injured sister was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with a wound that was not life threatening. 

Victoriano was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
