Fire Tears Through Home in Disney Estates
It took nearly 50 firefighters to put out the blaze Sunday morning. No one was home at the time of the fire.
A fire destroyed a home in the Disney Estates section of Severn on Sunday morning, requiring response from nearly 50 firefighters.Â
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded at about 6:30 a.m. to the 1800 block of Estate Court and found smoke billowing from the roof, department spokesman Lt. Jack Beall said. The upper story of the home quickly became fully involved.Â
It took firefighters about an hour to put the fire out.Â

No one was home at the time of the fire. The cause remains under investigation.Â
The fire department said the blaze caused $400,000 to the home and two nearby houses, which suffered from heat damage.Â
