Football Playoffs Set: Old Mill vs. Arundel, Meade vs. Broadneck

Old Mill will host Arundel on Friday, while Meade will host Broadneck.

Four football teams from Anne Arundel County will begin their quest for a state title beginning Friday as the MPSSAA state playoffs start. 

Old Mill has secured the top seed in the Class 4A East Region after running through the regular season with a 10-0 record. The Patriots will host Arundel (8-2), which squeaked into the playoffs by beating Meade last Friday night. 

Meade (8-2) is the second seed and will host Broadneck (8-2.) The Mustangs will look to repeat their regional title performance from 2012. 

Both semifinal games are rematches. Old Mill beat Arundel 24-14 on Sept. 13, while Meade beat Broadneck 24-20 on Nov. 1. 

The winners of Friday's games will face off for the regional title and chance at the state final four.  

The state title game is scheduled for Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m.

Both games begin at 7 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 15.
