Former VP Mondale to Be Honored at Fort Meade
Walter Mondale will be among the first inductees into the DINFOS Hall of Fame.

The Defense Information School (DINFOS) at Fort Meade will honor former Vice President Walter Mondale during its first-ever Hall of Fame induction Thursday.
DINFOS officials will honor Mondale along with other school graduates including Pulitzer Prize-winning authors and writers.
Mondale attended the Defense Information School in the 1950s while serving in the Army. He then went on to a career in law and then politics. He was vice president under Jimmy Carter between 1976 and 1980.

Other inductees Thursday will include Pulitzer Prize winning journalists Clarence Page and John Sandford, photographer Jim Bryant and award-winning journalists Les Payne and Steve Doig. LouAnne Johnson, who authored the book that inspired the movie Dangerous Minds, will also be inducted.
The ceremony will take place at DINFOS headquarters at Fort Meade at 10 a.m.
