Get some extra mileage out of your Halloween costume this weekend by donning your disguise and heading out to one of these events happening around the area. There are opportunities for runners, kids, adults and even pets to get into the spirit.

Why Go: The race begins at Big Vanilla in Arnold with the course running through . Participants must be 13 and will be entered into a raffle for prizes from the event sponsors. The proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Kid-friendly activities at the race start/finish line.

Why Go: Enjoy games and prizes for costume contests such as Most Annapolitan, Funniest, Scariest and Dog-Owner Combo, while helping to raise money for the dog park.

Why Go: The event features apple-bobbing, face painting and other festive events. There will also be a costume parade.
