Halloween Events in West County

Halloween is a week away. There's plenty of fun things to do between now and then, as well as some alternatives to traditional trick or treating.

Crofton Kiwanis Halloween Parade 

When: Saturday, 11 a.m. (Participants gather at 10 a.m.)
Where: Crofton Woods Elementary, then down Crofton Parkway 
Details: The community is invited for the 36th annual parade. 

Haunt at Sunrise Farm 
When: Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m. to dusk. 
Where: Maryland Sunrise Farm, 100 Dairy Ln., Gambrills. 
Details: Sunrise Farm in Gambrills transforms into a zombie-infested experience. Come by an check out the two haunted barns. 

Bennett's Curse
When: Every night through Nov. 3 (except Nov. 1).
Where: Blob's Park, Jessup
Details: There's still time left to get tickets to the critically acclaimed haunted attraction. Buy tickets at bennettscurse.com.

Trick or Trunk at Nichols-Bethel Church
When: Sunday, 12:30 p.m.
Where: Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church, Odenton.
Details: The community is invited to come out in costume for some Halloween treats.  

Trunk or Treat Harvest Festival at the Church at Severn Run 
When: Sunday, 3-6 p.m.
Where: The Church at Severn Run, 8187 Telegraph Rd., Severn
Details: Come out for some Halloween candy and other fall fun. 

Trunk O' Treat at Arundel Baptist Church
When: Wednesday 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Arundel Baptist Church, 886 Annapolis Rd., Gambrills.
Details: Come by the church on Halloween night. Children are invited to come in costume with their parents for candy, a miniature hay ride, games, a bonfire and more.
