Hanging Utility Line on Severn Road Not BGE's

BGE technicians inspected the major utility line that's hanging by a tree and said it did not belong to them.

Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) sent technicians out to Friday and determined the line did not belong to them, according to a spokeswoman for BGE.

Rachael L. Lighty told Patch that the wire wasn't a BGE line nor was it a power line.

"It is a communications line," Lighty wrote in an email.

Multiple messages left Friday with Verizon officials by Patch were not immediately returned.

A Comcast spokeswoman emailed Patch and said she would "look into" the situation.
