The Hops N' Vines store in Odenton is seeking the community's support in collecting back-to-school supplies for needy students.
The store has "adopted " four students from Seven Oaks Elementary School and hopes to fill their back-to-school supply list.
The store has posted slips of paper listing needed items ranging from glue sticks to pencils. Customers are encouraged to take a slip and return it with the specified item by August 6.
Store employees plan to deliver four filled backpacks in time for the start of school.
The identity of the students is being kept a secret, but they include to second graders, a fourth grader and a first grader.
Hops N' Vines customers can also support a separate effort by the Piney Orchard MOMS Club, which is also collecting back-to-school items at the store.
