Landowners Pitch Retail Instead of Excess Parking

The Odenton Medical Center has a large parking lot that is underitilized. Owners want to carve out 2,700 square feet for a restaurant, bank or offices.

The Odenton Medical Center on Annapolis Road is a nice little shopping strip, but its parking lot is unnecessarily large.

Landowners are now looking to carve out a portion of that parking for a retail building facing the main road.

Murphy Commercial is pitching 2,700 square-feet of space on about 0.75 acres. The property, Murphy said, is "perfect for bank, fast food, standalone retail or standalone office with direct street exposure."

The asking price is $85,000 annually to lease the property, according to an online brochure.

What kind of business should go in front of the Odenton Medical Center?
