That groundhog was a liar.
Wintry weather struck the Odenton and Severn area on Monday morning, with as much as 2-4 inches of snow possible, according to forecasts.

Snow was expected to roll in sometime around 4:30 a.m. and continue through much of the day.
Temperatures will be near the freezing mark, suggesting that roadways may remain relatively uncovered. However, before sunrise Monday, it did appear that snow was not only falling heavily, but accumulating.

Major roads including Route 175 and Telegraph Roads were cleared, but slick. Plows were seen clearing snow from side streets.
Keith Swindle, a Division Chief with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, said there were multiple minor accidents in the area. One crash on Interstate 97 took place at about 8 a.m. with one passenger transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.
It's worth noting that wet and icy road conditions caused serious problems in the area last month.
The State Highway Administration said it deployed 2,700 crews to treat and clear roadways Monday morning.
Public schools are already closed due to spring break.
All county senior centers have closed.
Local libraries are scheduled to open at 11 a.m.
The Odenton Christian School is closed.
