Local Runners Compete at Baltimore Running Festival
Here's a look at how runners from Odenton and Severn fared in Saturday's events in Baltimore.

Thousands of runners took to the streets of Baltimore Saturday for the annual Baltimore Running Festival.
The festival included a marathon, half-marathon, 5k race and marathon relay.
There were a number of local runners who took part, including Odenton-Severn Patch editor Tim Lemke, who ran in the relay along with several Patch colleagues.

- There were 19 marathon finishers from Odenton. The top finisher was 22-year-old Luke Seward, who ran with a time of 3:27:54. Don Snook of Odenton also finished strong with a time of 3:33:34.
- Louise Sharrocks was the top female runner from Odenton, and one of the top runners overall among women over 50, with a time of 4:24.06. Joshua Addison, 19, was one of the top younger runners, coming in at 4:11:08.
- Severn had 12 residents finish the marathon. Ryan Green, 24, was the town's top finisher with a time of 3:22:38 and was 12th overall in his age group.
- Severn resident Bob Burash, 65, finished third among all men between 65-69 years old. He ran the marathon in 4:22:53.
- Daniel Kostecka of Odenton was the winner of the Military Challenge Half-Marathon. The Air Force member ran the 13.1 miles in 1:25:48. The U.S. Army's Michael Wahlgren finished 16th in the military challenge with a time of 1:39:49.
- In the 5k race, two women from Severn were the top runners in their division. Lynda Layson, 52, was the top overall female in her age group with a time of 22:52, Shanley Vibeke, 43, finished in 23:35 and was the top female in her age group
