Drug Bust Finds Suspected Cocaine, Ecstasy: Anne Arundel County Police

A man had 750 grams of cocaine and 1,000 ecstasy gummies, police alleged. He's accused of distributing drugs in Annapolis and Severn.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man accused of distributing cocaine and marijuana in Anne Arundel County was arrested recently, police said.

Officers said they found over 750 grams of suspected cocaine and 2.5 pounds of suspected marijuana in the possession of Orlando Ray Coleman Jr., 29, of Annapolis. Detectives also said they found nearly 1,000 suspected ecstasy gummies.

Authorities alleged that Colman distributed the drugs in Annapolis, Severn and "surrounding counties."

The investigation spanned multiple months. Police announced the arrest last Thursday.

Authorities said they determined where the suspect lives in Annapolis.

Police said they then initiated a traffic stop on July 30 around 1:30 p.m. in Annapolis around West Street and Westbridge Drive. The stop, which happened near the suspect's home, was conducted with the assistance of Annapolis Police and Southern District detectives.

Officers said they took the suspect into custody and executed a search warrant on him, his vehicle, his home and his storage unit.

Authorities said they seized:

  • An HK 416 rifle
  • A loaded 30+ magazine (not loaded in the rifle)
  • A Black Glock 29 loaded with 10, 10 mm rounds
  • A gold and black Polymer 80 loaded with 6, 9 mm rounds
  • 752.24 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 23 bottles of suspected Promethazine
  • 999 individually packaged suspected MDMA gummies
  • 12.91 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • 38.92 grams of suspected Psilocybin Mushrooms
  • 15.05 grams of suspected Heroin
  • 3.94 grams of suspected Oxycodone (31 pills)
  • 1,135.42 grams (2.5 pounds) of suspected Cannabis
  • 24.87 grams of an unknown white crystal powder
  • 143.66 grams of an unknown white powder
  • Four digital scales with residue
  • More than $8,000 in cash
