Man With Multiple Weapons Arrested At Arundel Mills Mall

A Prince George's Co. man with multiple weapons was arrested at Arundel Mills Mall after police were notified about a suspicious vehicle.

HANOVER, MD — A man is facing charges after police said he was found in possession of multiple guns at Arundel Mills mall in Hanover.

According to Anne Arundel County police, officers responded to the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle around 8:45 p.m. after receiving a complaint about a suspicious vehicle.

When officers approached the blue Ford Explorer, they found it was unoccupied but saw a semi-automatic rifle in plain view in the open trunk.

Police later identified the SUV's driver as 56-year-old Robert Arthur Muschette of Upper Marlboro. He was located and taken into custody, police said.

  • AM-15 semi-automatic rifle
  • Loaded 9mm Ruger handgun (stolen)
  • Loaded 9mm SCCY Industries CPX-1 handgun (stolen)
  • 40 12-gauge rounds of ammunition
  • 50 9 mm rounds of ammunition in boxes
  • Plastic bag containing numerous Luger 9mm rounds of ammunition
  • Green canvas bag containing numerous REM .223 rounds of ammunition
  • Green plastic box containing numerous REM .223 rounds of ammunition
  • Four black magazines fully loaded with REM .223 rounds of ammunition
  • Two sets of body armor

Muschette, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged, police said.
