Moving Violation Leads to Drug Arrest
Police seized more than $1,700 worth of marijuana and other paraphernalia on Reece Road.

A routine moving violation led to a drug arrest and the seizing of more than $1,700 worth of marijuana Wednesday morning on Reece Road, according to police.
At around 11:29 a.m., an officer noticed a Chevy Tahoe fail to signal a turn at the intersection of Meade Village and Reece roads. The officer turned on his emergency lights in an effort to pull over the vehicle. However, the driver only slowed down and veered to the right of the lane before throwing out a bag of an unknown substance, according to police.
At that point, the officer turned off his lights and followed the Tahoe. The driver of the SUV once again moved to the shoulder and threw out another bag of an unidentified substance.

Police followed the Tahoe until the driver eventually pulled off into the Exxon gas station located on the 800 block of Reece Road.Â
The driver was arrested without confrontation. Police searched the two locations where the bags were thrown and found a bag of high-grade marijuana and other paraphernalia.

Police said the marijuana had a street value of $1,738.
The driver of the Tahoe was identified as Lawrence Muldrow Jr., 36, of the 8200 block of Stewarton Court in Severn.
Muldrow is being charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, trespassing on private property, littering and various related traffic charges.
