This is Mucho Gusto's third location and its first in Anne Arundel County. The other two sites are in Bel Air and Towson.

"We are locally operated with an ownership group that lives right here in Maryland," Mucho Gusto said on its website. "Our food and drinks are prepared with local ingredients whenever possible, and in our operations and purchasing we always strive to support our fellow local businesses."

The restaurant celebrated its grand opening on June 28.

Brick walls and lantern-style lights transform the dining room into an intimate space. A neon sign reading "Feed me tacos and tell me I'm pretty" makes for a trendy photo spot.

The eatery whips up Mexican classics and unique plates.

Taco offerings range from chicken and shrimp to birria beef and portobello mushrooms. Other highlights include the fajitas and the patatas bravas, which are sliced crispy potatoes with Mexican spices and chipotle aioli.

The corn tortillas and fresh salsa are both homemade. The guacamole is prepared tableside to your preferred spice level.

Churros and tres leches cake are among the dessert options.

Margaritas, mojitos and sangria top the cocktail menu. Beer, wine and mocktails are also available. Happy hour brings food and drink discounts Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.

These offerings earned the establishment Best Mexican Restaurant and Best Cocktail Program honors from Baltimore Magazine.

Mucho Gusto's name, meaning "Nice to meet you" in Spanish, represents the business's goal of creating a welcoming atmosphere.

"Whenever my family and I travel on vacation, we go out of our way to avoid fancy chain restaurants when we dine," the Mucho Gusto website said. "We want to go where the 'locals' go, where you're treated like a special guest and not like a number."

Mucho Gusto is part of a changing Gambrills food scene.

The Farmhouse replaced Smashing Grapes earlier this month in the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre. Elevation Burger closed, while Nothing Bundt Cakes is now open a few doors away.

Mucho Gusto is located at 991 Waugh Chapel Way, Suite 100. That's to the left of Dick's Sporting Goods and next to Glow Nail Bar.

Mucho Gusto opens daily at 11 a.m. It closes at 9 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, 10 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday and 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
