No MARC Train Service Monday

The Maryland Transit Administration will not run trains Monday due to Hurricane Sandy. It has not made a decision regarding Tuesday service.

The Maryland Transit Administration has cancelled all MARC Train service for Monday, citing the possible impact of Hurricane Sandy.

Rail service officials said that weather conditions may have allowed for morning service, but that forecasts indicate deteriorating conditions later in the day.

"While it may be possible to operate service Monday morning at normal levels, MARC, Amtrak and CSX all share the same concern that the deteriorating weather conditions will have a significant impact on afternoon operations," MARC wrote on its website.
