ANNAPOLIS, MD — A $5,000 donation will help an Odenton veteran make home repairs. The award was presented Thursday at Thrive Dispensary in Annapolis.

Retired soldier Brian Burke accepted the check from InHouse, a cannabis brand owned by MariMed. MariMed also owns Thrive Dispensary, located at 2061 Generals Highway.

"I'd like to thank InHouse because this is coming at a great time for us. Their care for veterans is going to allow me to make some repairs to my home that are absolutely necessary at this time. And I can't thank you enough for what you're doing for veterans and their service," Burke said.

InHouse is contributing to home improvements for veterans in several of its markets, including Maryland, Delaware, Massachusetts and Illinois. Veterans could apply for the award through the Help on the Homefront contest starting in November 2024.

"The Help on the Homefront contest is a program that our brand runs to help veterans in need, especially when it comes to housing across the nation. As a veteran myself, I really, really appreciate how this company goes above and beyond to help our veterans," Miller said.
