Orioles' 'Military Appreciation' Jerseys Going to Highest Bidder

The team wore the Military Appreciation Jerseys on June 14. Proceeds from the auction will go to a resiliency center at Fort Meade.

The Baltimore Orioles on June 14 wore special jerseys and caps to celebrate Flag Day and the Army's birthday, and are now auctioning the items off to support Fort Meade.

The game-worn and autographed "Military Appreciation" jerseys and caps are now available for bid, with proceeds going to help fund a resiliency center on the installation.

As of Thursday afternoon, bids ranged from a few hundred dollars to more than $4,000 for the most popular Orioles' players.

Third baseman Manny Machado's jersey and cap led the way with a leading bid of $4,525 as of noon Thursday.

The auction ends Thursday at 11:59 p.m. on the Orioles' official website.
