Paranormal Investigators Visit Severn Home

Dead of Night Paranormal Investigation is reviewing video and audio to determine if a house on Pioneer Drive is inhabited by ghosts.

A team of investigators said a house in Severn could be the site of some paranormal activity, after the tenant claimed the home was inhabited by spirits.

Officials from Dead of Night Paranormal Investigation visited the home on Pioneer Drive after Qwanetta Richardson said she felt the presence of ghosts in the house. She also has claimed to see unusual things in photographs. Richardson said she has plans to move out of the home.

"We're checking into the possibility there might be something there," said investigator Olen Prince, who has visited the home twice. “If there is something there, we believe it’s a ghost or spirit. We don’t believe it’s demonic.”

Prince says he and a small crew investigate cases like this two or three times each week in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia. Currently, the team is reviewing audio of a "electronic voice phenomenon," or EVP, taken from Richardson's bedroom.

"It does sound like someone whispered into our recording," he said. "We’re trying to figure out what’s going on with that.”

The team is also reviewing video taken using a special camera with a laser grid.

Prince said investigators are reviewing photographs featuring a series of orbs and other shapes that Richardson took from inside the house. He said some of the shapes can be explained by faulty equipment or basic light reflection, but not in all cases.

"We found some orbs that we can't explain," he said.

Prince said he recommended that the house be blessed, but said Richardson should not fear for her safety.

"Nothing we came across in that house gave us the impression it was dangerous,” he said.
