Police Arrest Pair in Hess Station Robbery

Police also reported a carjacking and an attempted robbery over the weekend in the Severn area.

Anne Arundel County police charged two people in connection to a burglary at the Hess gas station on Annapolis Road Saturday morning, and used a Taser to bring one of the suspects into custody. 

Police said they responded at about 3:30 a.m. to a report of an alarm, and found a man trying to hide inside the building. The man ran away, but police said they chased him and used a Taser to subdue him and recover items taken from the gas station. He was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment. 

Later, police also found a woman nearby with a handgun, who they said may have been acting as a lookout for the first suspect.

Police charged Lionel Mosley Eades, 35, of Washington, DC with burglary, destruction of property, theft and resisting arrest. 

They also charged Shirley Donnalee Bromfield, 44, of Wellington, FL with burglary and handgun violations.

Woman Reports Carjacking Sunday

Police said they are investigating a report of a carjacking on Severn Orchard Circle shortly after noon Sunday. 

Officers said they spoke to a 28-year-old woman who reported that she was getting out of her car when a man came up to her with a handgun and demanded she hand over her car keys. The man then drove off in the woman's car on Pioneer Drive towards Reece Road. 

Police searched the area but could not find the suspect. The stolen car is described as a dark blue 2006 Honda CR-V.

 

Police Investigate Attempted Armed Robbery on Telegraph Road

A 28-year-old man told police that he was struck in the head with a handgun on Saturday morning on Telegraph Road. 

Police said the victim reported being approached by two men at about 12:30 a.m., and one of the men threatened to shoot him if he didn't hand over some personal property. The victim yelled for help, then one of the suspects struck the victim in the head with the handgun. 

The two suspects then fled the area, possibly in a light-colored blue sedan. Police searched the area but could not find them.
