Police Report Attempted Murder by Stabbing in Jessup
Jairo Renato Morales, 23, was arrested after police said he stabbed another man in the arm.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Jessup man on a charge of attempted murder, after they said he stabbed another man during an altercation Monday morning.
Police said they responded shortly after 1 a.m. Monday to the 2900 block of Jessup Road and found a 32-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to the arm.
Officers located a suspect a short time later and identified him as Jairo Renato Morales, 23, of Jessup. Police said an investigation revealed that Morales and the victim knew each other and had been arguing.

Police charged Morales with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
The victim in the case transported himself to Howard General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening injuries.
