Severn Patch: In your wildest dreams, did you imagine you’d be undefeated and in this position your first year as head coach?

Coach Chad McCormick: I don’t know if being undefeated was part of it, but the expectation was to be here and to be competing. With the talent we have, our expectations are to compete for a state championship.

Severn Patch: What’s the atmosphere like in the hallways of Old Mill? Lots of buzz about the game?

Coach Chad McCormick: The vibe in school is definitely picking up a lot. The junior class is selling a "Terrible Towel" thing. There are some rumors that North Point is bringing up a bunch of buses so we’re making sure there is a big crowd. They’re having a school spirit day where each class wears different colors like red, blue and black.

Severn Patch: What are the keys to victory for you and the team?

Coach Chad McCormick: I think the big key is ball security. If we take care of the football, I think we’ll be in a great place to win the game. We have a great defense and I think if we can control the ball, we’ll be OK.
