Severn Man Guarded His Home from Possible Break-In on Halloween Night
Police said a local resident had a scuffle with two assaulters when he was forced outside his home Monday night.

Two men assaulted a Severn man outside his home Monday night and engaged in a struggle with the resident before leaving without taking any property, according to a report from the Anne Arundel County Police department.
Officers arrived at the home, located at the 8200 block of Marlton Court, and spoke with a witness who told them he saw two men knock on the door of the house, grab the resident and force him outside around 7 p.m. The witness said one of the suspects was holding a handgun.
The two men and the resident began to struggle with each other before the victim was able to break away and run to a neighbor’s house to call police, according to the report.

Police said nothing was taken from the victim or the home on Marlton Court and that the resident needed no medical attention after the incident.
Several officers and the aviation unit searched for the two men but were unable to locate them.
