"With well-received Sheetz stores in neighboring Maryland counties, Anne Arundel County is a key location as the brand looks to grow its footprint in central Maryland," Ruffner said. "We truly believe our brand will resonate with the residents of Anne Arundel County and can't wait to become a positive force in this community."
For years, Sheetz's only stations in Maryland were out West. Ruffner called the first Anne Arundel County location a "significant milestone" in the company's Maryland growth. Sheetz now has nearly 40 stores statewide.
The chain debuted in Baltimore County and Prince George's County last year. Its first Montgomery County location opened in 2023.
"Sheetz has experienced steady growth across Maryland and remains committed to expanding its reach to meet the needs of future customers," Ruffner said. "Inspired by the continued enthusiasm and support from residents across the state, this strong community response fuels our drive to bring Sheetz's distinctive offerings to even more Marylanders."
Founded in 1952 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Sheetz now has over 26,000 employees. The company has over 750 stores spread across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan and Maryland. Every location is open 24/7, 365.
On opening day, Sheetz will have:
