Trampoline Park Opens 1st Anne Arundel County Location

GAMBRILLS, MD — Sky Zone opened its first trampoline park in Anne Arundel County last week, continuing the chain's Maryland expansion.

Sky Zone also has locations coming soon in Owings Mills and Frederick. The company has 10 locations open or planned in Maryland.

"As we're continuing to see more families in Crofton and Gambrills, this location brings a fresh option for the kind of active, screen-free fun that millennial parents are seeking," Skyzone Chief Operating Officer Mike Revak told The Baltimore Sun, adding that "This new location is poised to become a key spot for families in the region."

Jumpers can dunk on a basketball hoop or compete in trampoline dodgeball games. Other highlights are the zip line, warped wall and ninja course. There's also a hybrid slide where guests speed down a slide and then enter a free fall drop into a landing pit.

Sky Zone opened its first location in 2004, expanding by franchising and acquiring competitors Rockin Jump in 2013 and Defy in 2017. The chain now draws 40 million guests annually.

The Gambrills location is situated in the Waugh Chapel Business Park at 986 Waugh Chapel Way. That's located behind the Dick's Sporting Goods in the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre.

Kid-friendly little leaper hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Glow night is from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

General jumping hours are:

• Monday through Wednesday: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Thursday: 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Friday: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sunday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
