Student Points Replica BB Gun, Assaults Victims At School: Anne Arundel County Police
A student assaulted victims and pointed a replica BB gun at them, Anne Arundel County police said. The 16-year-old boy was arrested.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — Anne Arundel County police announced Wednesday that they arrested a 16-year-old boy accused of pointing a replica BB gun at victims and assaulting them on a middle school's property.
A school resource officer working at an Old Mill High School basketball game said they heard about an assault last Friday around 8:19 p.m. on the property of the neighboring Old Mill Middle School North.
Authorities said they collected evidence and conducted interviews, leading them to the suspect.

Police said they determined that the suspect confronted the victims, assaulted them and displayed a replica BB gun.
Officers said they later found the replica BB gun at the suspect's Odenton home.

Authorities said they took the suspect into custody without incident on Monday at Chesapeake High School, where he is a student.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said he faces numerous counts of first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, along with weapons offenses.
Officers did not release the suspect's name because he is a minor.
