Officers said they were called on April 15, 2023, around 7 a.m. to Crewboats To Go, located in Baltimore at 6211 Old Pennington Ave., for a carjacking that happened in Anne Arundel County.

The victim reported she was dropping a friend off around 2:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Milton Avenue in Glen Burnie when two suspects approached her, authorities said.

The victim alleged that the female suspect dragged her from the car and threw her in the trunk with the male suspect's help, police said.

While the victim was still in the trunk, officers said the suspects drove away in her black 2012 Mercedes 550 sedan.

Authorities accused the suspects of stopping on Baltimore's Pennington Avenue drawbridge, pulling the victim from the trunk and throwing her off the bridge into Curtis Creek.

The suspects fled in the victim's car, police said.

Two welders told WBAL-TV they found the injured woman under a crane counterweight in the middle of the creek just before 6 a.m. Officers said she was hospitalized, but she survived.

"It shocks the conscience when you see a case like this," Anne Arundel County Police spokesperson Justin Mulcahy told WBAL.

WBAL reported that the victim's car was found days later on the shoulder of Maryland Route 295 northbound at West Nursery Road with a bullet hole in it.

"Certainly begs the question, what else were they involved in, potentially, or caught up in?" Mulcahy told WBAL.
