Shoe Store Robbed, Manager Threatened With Pepper Spray: Police

A shoe store was robbed in Gambrills, police said. The robbers threatened the manager with pepper spray and drove away.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Robbers threatened a shoe store employee with pepper spray while stealing "a large amount of merchandise" Friday in Gambrills, police said.

Officers said the robbery happened around 12:20 p.m. at Rack Room Shoes, located in The Village at Waugh Chapel at 2640 Chapel Lake Drive.

Authorities said the store manager confronted the male and female as they were exiting with items they hadn't paid for, prompting the robbers' pepper spray threat.

Police said the two robbers drove away in a blue Infiniti sedan.

  1. Black male, 25-30, 6'0", black hooded jacket, black sweatpants, blue medical mask.
  2. Black female, 5'0", 175 pounds, broad build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black leggings, black Nike socks, black Jordan slides, multi-colored shower cap.
