Week Ahead: Redistricting, Schools and GORC Soccer

It looks like a busy week, so here are five meetings and events that might be of interest in the Odenton and Severn area. 

County Council Meeting

When: Monday, 7 p.m.
Where: 44 Calvert St., Annapolis 
Details: The County Council is scheduled to vote on a pair of redistricting proposals, including one that would alter the politics of the Odenton, Crofton and Gambrills area.  

Piney Orchard Board Meeting

When: Monday, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Piney Orchard Community Center
Details: The community will have its March board meeting. 

County School Board Meeting

When: Wednesday, 7 p.m.
Where: 2644 Riva Rd., Annapolis 
Details: The school board is expected to vote on a number of measures related to school revitalization, including work at Four Seasons and Crofton elementary schools. 

Fort Meade Restoration Advisory Board Meeting

When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
Where: Capt. John E. Smathers Army Reserve Center, Fort Meade. (Annapolis Road, between 20 and 20 1/2 streets).
Details: The board is responsible for overseeing environmental cleanup at the installation.

GORC Soccer Fundraiser

When: Friday, 5-9 p.m.; Saturday, noon-7 p.m.
Where: J. King's Restaurant
