What's With This Fro-Yo Craze?
Have you tried any of the new frozen yogurt places around town? Do you have a favorite?

The biggest thing in the area these days (aside from complaining about traffic) is frozen yogurt.Â
All throughout west Anne Arundel County we've seen new shops open up offering frozen yogurt treats with toppings. In most cases, it's self-serve and pay-by-the-pound.Â
In Piney Orchard, there's the new Tutti Frutti store.Â

At the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, there's a Yolavie (French for "Yo, the Life.")
Near Arundel Mills, there's a Yogi Castle and Yogurt Mountain, and there's even a Pinkberry at BWI Airport.Â

Ironically, there is no TCBY nearby, and the popular Red Mango hasn't set up shop in the area yet. Sweet Frog has a store in the county, but it's down in Edgewater.
I have not been to all of these stores, but at first glance, I have a hard time figuring out how they are different from one another. I am also curious as to why frozen yogurt seems to be the big thing once again.Â
Patch blogger Tammy Estes recently wrote a review of Tutti Frutti, and described it as "not fabulous but not lousy."
